Senior Software Engineer

What will you contribute?

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient applications, while adhering to best practices in the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in software design discussions and analyse user requirements to define technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable code.
• Test, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify and fix defects efficiently.
• Follow established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and best practices.
• Support product releases and provide ongoing maintenance and issue resolution.
• Work with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve program-related challenges.
• Contribute to additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience & Skills

Experience

• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in software design and development.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in: Java 8+/ J2EESpring Boot, Spring Cloud
• Familiarity with: Azure (preferred)
• Oracle Database 19C Hibernate & JPA
• Distributed systems and caching technologies
• Messaging platforms (e.g., MQ, Kafka)
• Knowledge of: RESTful APIs & SQL and database design
• Database Tuning & PostgreSQL Experience is must

Domain Knowledge

• Financial industry domain i.e. Cross Border Payments experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of software development methodologies and SDLC.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coding skills.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks.
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Strong customer-focused mindset.
