Senior Software Engineer | JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React | Kaunas | €4,485–€5,950 gross*EU citizens only

Hitcontract is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer for our client, a global technology and business consulting company delivering digital solutions and large-scale software projects for international organisations.

We are looking for a strong Full Stack Engineer who enjoys working across both front-end and back-end development and has solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Design and develop back-end solutions using Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Work with SQL databases and related technologies.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design to development, testing, and deployment.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving development processes, code quality, and engineering practices.
• Stay up to date with modern technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with:
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • React
  • HTML / CSS
  • SQL
• Strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development.
• Experience working with modern web applications and REST APIs.
• Good understanding of software development principles and practices.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Good command of English.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Message Brokers.
• Experience with ORM technologies.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Knowledge of Vanilla JavaScript.
• Understanding of V8.
• Experience or interest in WebAssembly.
• Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
