[What you will be working on]
You will drive architectural and technical expertise while driving delivery excellence. As a technical expert, you will set high engineering standards and support the development of robust and scalable digital solutions that have a lasting impact on Singapore's digital landscape.

Collaborating with product and UX leaders in creating and driving a solid, coherent product vision and strategy, as well as creating and maintaining long-term technical plans and roadmaps for your products

Implement team’s engineering strategy, and directions that align with the organization’s overall vision and goals

Partnering with stakeholders to prioritise and manage roadmaps for delivering towards product vision incrementally and efficiently in order to deliver good value to the people of Singapore

Proactively identifying issues, risks and opportunities to have a secure solution

Champion practices and tools to encourage a strong engineering culture and maximize engineering effectiveness and impact

Providing hands-on technical guidance, architectural oversight, and rigorous design reviews to ensure robust and scalable system architectures

Setting and upholding high engineering standards across the lifecycle, including code quality, comprehensive testing, security-by-design, and operational excellence
[What we are looking for]

A strong technical background with deep experience in system design and modern architecture, with a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects
-
Experience with solving complex technical issues, e.g. high bar of security requirements, high-availability software systems, co-existence of new and legacy systems, etc.

Experience in modern full-stack technologies; experience in modern front-end engineering on NextJs/React and/or Java/Kotlin/TypeScript on the backend is preferred.

Strong foundational knowledge of cloud-native systems, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Designing and maintaining data consistency models and event-driven architectures.

Ensuring system resilience via observability, rate limiting, and failure handling.

Strong Engineering practices, Quality and Security mindset.

Passion towards engineering excellence; Evolutionary architecture, and you take pride in the craftsmanship aspect of software engineering, Operational excellence.

Strong technical foundation with experience in modern architectures (e.g.

cloud-native, microservices, CI/CD, DevOps

Ability to navigate and modernize complex legacy systems while ensuring high availability.

6+ years of software engineering experience
