Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer NetApp ONTAP environments(AFF/FAS systems, SAN/NAS configurations, Storage Virtual Machines).
  • Provision, configure, and maintain volumes, aggregates, and LUNsbased on business requirements.
  • Monitor and optimize performance of NetApp storage systems usingActive IQ Unified Manager, OnCommand System Manager, or CLI/API.
  • Maintain and manageSnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapCenterfor data replication, backup, and recovery.
  • Performfirmware upgrades, patch management, and system expansion activities.
  • Implement and maintainstorage security, access controls, and data protection measures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents and performance issues.
  • Generate capacity planning reports and forecast storage needs.
  • Collaborate with VMware/Hyper-V, database administrators, and application teams to ensure seamless storage integration.
  • Maintain detaileddocumentationfor configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate indisaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Support and continuously improvemulti-cluster NetApp environments.
  • Ensure compliance withITIL processesfor incident, change, and problem management.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ yearsexperience in enterprise storage administration.
  • Strong expertise inNetApp ONTAP(9.x or later) and NetApp hardware platforms.
  • Hands-on experience withSAN/NASprotocols: NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, FC.
  • Experience withSnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapCenter, MetroCluster.
  • Proficiency with NetApp administration tools (System Manager, Active IQ UM, OnCommand, CLI).
  • Knowledge of storage performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with VMware datastores, Microsoft Failover Clustering, and Hyper-V integration with NetApp.
  • Experience in scripting for automation (PowerShell,Python, or NetApp PowerShell Toolkit).
  • Understanding of data protection, backup/restore processes, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills for collaboration and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)orNetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE)certifications.
  • Familiarity with other storage platforms for heterogeneous environment support.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and tools like ServiceNow.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (Development, Media, financial, healthcare, government).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
