Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a €31.6 Billion international wholesaler with operations in more than 30 countries. The store network comprises a total of 623 stores in 21 countries, of which 522 offer out-of-store delivery (OOS), and 94 dedicated depots. In 12 countries, METRO runs only the delivery business by its delivery companies (Food Service Distribution, FSD). 

HoReCa and Traders are core customer groups of METRO. The HoReCa section includes hotels, restaurants, catering companies as well as bars, cafés and canteen operators. The Traders section includes small grocery stores and kiosks. The majority of all customer groups are small and medium-sized enterprises as well as sole traders. METRO helps them manage their business challenges more effectively. 

MGSC, location wise is present in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). We provide HR, Finance, IT, Strategy, Branding & Business operations support to 31 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in UiPath Test Suite, SAP applications, and web application testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of business-critical applications.

The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, business analysts, and offshore teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using UiPath Test Suite.

• Create and manage automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Develop reusable automation components and scalable automation frameworks.

• Analyze automation execution results and implement continuous improvements.

• Perform manual testing of SAP and web applications to validate functionality, usability, and performance.

• Create, review, and execute detailed test scenarios based on business and system requirements.

• Conduct regression testing to ensure stability after system changes or enhancements.

• Identify, investigate, and document defects with sufficient detail to support efficient resolution.

• Differentiate between application defects and automation script failures.

• Track and manage defects using tools such as JIRA.

• Ensure delivered solutions meet quality, performance, and business requirements.

• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, test reviews, and retrospectives.

• Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics effectively.

• Maintain test plans, test cases, test evidence, and testing documentation.

• Produce regular status reports and quality metrics.

• Support audit and compliance requirements through proper documentation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience

• 3–5 years of software testing experience, including at least 3 years in test automation.

• Hands-on experience testing SAP applications (SAP GUI and SAP Fiori) and web applications.

• Proven experience in software implementation or digital transformation projects.
 

Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in:

    • UiPath Studio

    • UiPath Test Suite

    • UiPath Orchestrator

    • Automation workflow development

• Experience designing and implementing automated functional and regression tests.

• Good understanding of testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.

• Experience with test management tools such as Zephyr.

• Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Methodologies:

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Knowledge of test planning, test design techniques, and test execution best practices.

• UiPath Test Automation expertise

• UiPath Studio and Orchestrator

• SAP GUI testing

• SAP Fiori testing

• Functional and regression test automation

• Manual testing experience

• JIRA or equivalent defect management tools

• Agile/Scrum experience

• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification

• REST API testing experience

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution

• Experience integrating automated tests into DevOps environments

• Knowledge of performance and integration testing concepts
