We’re looking for a Service Manager to lead our Truckstops Blenheim service operation, with responsibility for a team of skilled and apprentice technicians. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong workshop experience who enjoys developing people, delivering quality service, and driving performance.

Your new role as Service Manager

Reporting to the Branch Manager and supported by the Regional Manager, you’ll have responsibility for the performance and day-to-day operation of the service department.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading and motivating the service team to deliver quality service and follow best practice
• Coaching and developing technicians and apprentices to build team capability
• Managing workshop performance, budgets and targets
• Prioritising workflow and resources to deliver great outcomes for our customers
• Championing health and safety and maintaining a strong safety culture
• Working collaboratively with the Branch Manager to support the success of the wider branch

What you’ll bring

This role will suit a skilled organiser, planner and people leader who understands the demands of a busy workshop environment and knows how to balance people, performance and customer service.

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Previous workshop leadership experience as a Senior Leading Hand, Foreman or similar
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop people
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
• A good understanding of workshop financials, including budgets, profit and loss, margins and performance targets
• Strong decision-making, planning and prioritisation skills
• A genuine commitment to health and safety
• A customer-focused approach and commitment to quality service
• The drive to overcome challenges and continuously improve performance
