Sheet Metal Mechanic

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for projects located in or around Grand Rapids, MI. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Install and assemble rectangular HVAC sheet metal ductwork
• Measure, mark, and cut duct sections to required dimensions
• Drill holes in sheet metal and prepare components for installation
• Fasten seams and joints together using screws and approved fastening methods
• Install and secure duct systems according to project specifications
• Perform additional sheet metal duties as directed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of sheet metal or HVAC duct installation experience
• Apprentice and Journeyman-level candidates encouraged to apply
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble ductwork
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• No certifications required
