We are currently looking for an experienced SHEQ coordinator who will develop, implement and continuously improve the Safety, Health and Quality framework across Virya Energy Belgium’s business units.
Working across the departments Hydrogen, DATS 24, Grid Solutions, and Commercial & Industrial Solutions, you combine strategic insight with a strong operational mindset. You are regularly present on project sites and operational locations, supporting teams in delivering safe, compliant and high-quality operations. You play a key role in driving continuous improvement, regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You develop, implement and maintain SHEQ policies, procedures and management systems.
You coordinate internal and external audits and support certification processes.
You conduct SHEQ inspections, safety walks and site visits.
You advise and support project teams on safety, quality and compliance matters.
You follow up on incidents, non-conformities and corrective actions.
You monitor and report SHEQ KPIs and performance indicators.
You organize training sessions, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns.
You promote a strong safety and quality culture throughout the organization
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Quality Management or a related field, or equivalent through experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a SHEQ, HSE or HSSE role.
Experience with audits, risk management and management systems.
Affinity with technical or project-driven environments; experience in the energy sector is a strong asset.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in Dutch, French and English
