Shift Leader

At Five Guys, we're all about great burgers, great fries, and even better people. As a Shift Leader, you play a key role in ensuring our restaurant runs smoothly while delivering an outstanding customer experience every time.

Shift Leaders are trained in all stations within the restaurant and take on additional leadership duties, supporting the management team and stepping in to lead shifts when needed.

What You'll Do

As Shift Leader, you're a big part of the Five Guys experience. No two shifts are the same. You'll:

• Lead by example by performing all Crew Member duties, including:

  • Frontline coordination / runner

  • Order taking & dining room service

  • Grill, Dressing, Fry, Drinks, and cashier positions

• Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring fast, friendly, and accurate service. All while maintaining high product quality in line with Five Guys standards.

• Take ownership of shift operations

  • Lead the restaurant in the absence of the (Assistant) General Manager

  • Supervise, support, and train team members

  • Manage shift flow, breaks, and handovers

  • Complete shift reports and ensure operational readiness

• Maintain high standards

  • Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and accessibility of the restaurant

  • Follow all food safety, health & safety, and company policies

• Support and develop the team

  • Motivate and coach Crew Members

  • Assist with onboarding and training of new starters

  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment

What We're Looking For

• You're 18 years or older

• You do not need a TWV permit

• You are a hands-on, proactive team player with leadership potential

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A passion for delivering excellent customer service

• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends

• You speak Dutch and/or English; other languages are a plus!

Additional Requirements

• BHV Certification (First Aid & Safety) - either already obtained or willingness to complete training
