Job Description

The Shoot Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the daily apparel shoot. From shoot and model direction to image selection and coding as well as ensuring daily targets and KPI’s are being met consistently and that photography and styling guidelines are being ahered to at all times.

Responsibilities

Reports To: Styling Manager

Direct Reports: None

·To ensure the efficient running of all apparel shoots.

·Manage all timings for this studio, ensuring the most full and effective use of the working hours.

·Responsible for ensuring models and crew are ready and on set at the assigned start times at the beginning of the day and after breaks that are taken through the day.

·Responsible for ensuring daily targets are understood by the studio team and that everyone is working efficiently to reach or even exceed these targets and KPI’s on a daily basis.

·Meticulous understanding of the shoot schedule in terms of daily shoot and product volumes, which models are shooting which brands and how time needs to be managed in order to achieve the daily targets.

·Responsible for directing models as well as the photographer and stylists if necessary to get the very best shots for every product consistently.

·Responsible for all image selection on set for the website.

·Possess a very keen eye for what image would be best for the site, considering composition, model pose, styling, product visibility etc

·Manage the atmosphere in the studio, remaining calm and positive in a pressured, fast paced environment.

·To be a strong troubleshooter and decision maker with a strong understanding of priorities and how to solve adhoc problems.

·Possess excellent communication skills and highly organised, ensuring we are getting the best out of the models and staff on the apparel set, in turn producing images of the highest quality in a timely manner.

·Excellent understanding of the Production Workflow as a whole, understanding the impacts that not carrying out role tasks might have on the overall department and business.

·Excellent ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

·Effective communication of changes or updates to Styling, Imagery Sequencing or Workflow to the studio as well as 3rd party suppliers

·Quality, accuracy, speed and customer focus when overseeing styling and image selection

·Efficiency and timeliness in ensuring thorough preparation for each upcoming shoot, ensuring targets are consistently achieved

·Responsiveness to change and feedback

·Quality of images produced, from an overall styled perspective.

·Adherence to deadlines – ensuring set targets are met each day

·Number of proposed and implemented improvements to the imagery produced
