AJ Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman / Parts & Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our maintenance facility and manage the inventory and procurement of parts, supplies, tools, and equipment needed to keep our construction operations running efficiently.

This is a leadership position for someone who is highly organized, mechanically knowledgeable, and capable of coordinating maintenance activities while ensuring our shop operates at a high level.

Pay

Responsibilities

· Manage the daily operations of the company maintenance shop

· Supervise mechanics and prioritize repair schedules

· Coordinate preventative maintenance for the company’s fleet

· Manage inventory of:

o Heavy equipment parts

o Truck and trailer parts

o Asphalt plant parts

o Aggregate plant parts

o Tires, filters, oils, lubricants, and shop supplies

o Welding, safety, and maintenance supplies

· Order parts and supplies while maintaining proper inventory levels

· Build and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing when possible

· Receive, organize, and track incoming inventory

· Maintain accurate inventory records and control costs

· Coordinate equipment repairs to minimize downtime

· Ensure shop cleanliness, organization, and safety

· Work closely with management, project managers, and field personnel to support daily operations

Preferred Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment, trucking, or construction maintenance

· Leadership or supervisory experience

· Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, diesel trucks, trailers, and asphalt construction equipment

· Experience with inventory control and purchasing

· Strong computer skills and the ability to manage inventory software

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
