Shop Laborer - Kiwi II

Overview

Perform general warehouse duties around the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Cut, shape, and trim metal using cutting machinery according to the production schedule.
• Set up, operate, or tend machinery that bends metal work pieces according to the production schedule.
• Separate materials or products according to size, type, or color.
• Mark identification numbers or sizes on products.
• Read work orders to determine dimensions and quantities to cut.
• Assemble packing containers using hand tools.
• Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves.
• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Place products into bags or boxes.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Keeps work area clean and neat.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds.
