Silicon Architect
AI Summary
Lead the architecture of next‑gen application engines and radio‑optimized SoCs, working with cross‑functional teams from concept to tape‑out and field validation.
About this role
About Sine Engineering
Sine Engineering is a leading global company specializing in the development of advanced radio communication and navigation systems. We design and build mission‑critical infrastructure for the multi‑million‑drone era.
At Sine, you will work with cutting‑edge technologies tested in some of the world’s most challenging environments, with the opportunity to see your ideas evolve into an ecosystem that contributes to global safety and progress.
We are looking for a Silicon Architect to lead the architecture of next-generation application engines and radio communication‑optimized System-on-Chips (SoCs). You will work alongside an exceptional team of engineers, defining and shaping silicon for resilient wireless applications from the ground up. Multiple positions are open and will be filled on a rolling basis.
Responsibilities
Specify SoC architectures spanning the full data path - from RF transceiver and PHY/MAC to the application engine and external interfaces
Drive technology selection and define optimal functionality splits across hardware, software, and multi-die implementations
Capture use cases and translate requirements for radio, baseband, and application engines into SoC architectural specifications
Architect memory hierarchies, low‑power strategies, video codec pipelines (H.264 / H.265 / AV1), image/sensor interfaces, CPU/DSP/NPU selection, and optimize data flow between capture, encoding, and radio transmission
Design SoC architectures for modem systems, including baseband, digital front‑end, and radio
Collaborate closely with the SoC Architecture team and internal RF, SoC design, system modeling, software, and hardware teams, as well as external partners, across the full development lifecycle - from concept to tape‑out to field validation
Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in SoC architecture or senior SoC design roles
Deep understanding of SoC architectures
Background in wireless communication systems and/or complex SoC architectures (e.g., mobile chips)
Proven experience driving architectural decisions across cross‑functional teams
Experience specifying and integrating third‑party IP, including technical review of vendor deliverables
English proficiency at B1 level or higher
Nice to Have
Experience with cryptography, secure boot, and hardware‑level cybersecurity
Experience with video and imaging hardware
Experience with multi‑die or chiplet designs and die‑to‑die interfaces
Knowledge of network communication protocols - both wired (TCP/IP, UDP, RTP) and wireless (LTE‑M, LoRa, etc.), as well as anti‑jamming / LPI‑LPD techniques
Experience in defense or dual‑use systems
Experience with low‑power SoC design
