JOB SUMMARY

The Site Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment at a single site located in downtown Squamish. Working independently, this role performs routine site inspections, housekeeping, and maintenance activities to ensure the property remains organized, presentable, and operating efficiently.

In addition to site responsibilities, the Site Attendant supports the maintenance of the company yard and workshop by assisting with general upkeep, minor repairs, material organization, equipment cleaning, and the receiving, inspection, and storage of deliveries.

The successful candidate is self-motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while coordinating effectively with project teams, suppliers, and company staff.

This position is 7 days per week, including holidays, ranging from 2-4 hours per day with a preferred start time of 7:00 AM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General maintenance of a commercial site
  • Attending garbage cans on site
  • General clean up/litter picking
  • Cleaning of hardscape surfaces
  • Landscape maintenance
  • Inventory of consumables
  • Tool repair
  • Use of small engine and hand tools
  • Complete all required site reports
  • Complete required training on all equipment and Company policies and procedures
  • Act as a Company ambassador whenever in uniform
  • Polite, professional attitude

JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION

  • Industry certifications an asset (i.e.: Red Seal, Certified Landscape Technician, Pesticide Applicator License)

EXPERIENCE

  • No previous experience is required, although preference will be given to those who possess:
  • Experience working in an outdoor, laborious position
  • 2+ years industry experience or education equivalent
  • Small engine experience an asset but not required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Comfortable working in a team environment and individually
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Previous experience with landscape machinery (mowers, line trimmers, blowers)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical aptitude (troubleshooting)
  • Knowledge of local plant life

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is 100% labour and as such, individuals must be in good physical condition and be able to lift weight more than 50 lbs, bending, crouching, twisting, and standing/walking for long periods of time.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is 100% outside. Individuals will be subject to varied weather including extreme heat and cold, rain and snow. Individuals are encouraged to wear layers and sunscreen when required.


COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Starting base wage of $28-32 based on previous experience Vacation pay and stat holiday pay paid out on each cheque
