Job Purpose:
The Site Foreman is a highly functioning, proactive, skilled leader who excels at communication, planning, problem solving, and fostering a safe, productive team environment. The Site Foreman will have a strong emphasis on earth moving activities and is responsible for specific site coordination and administrative functions. This position is primarily a hands-on role and is a secondary field contact for projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform CMS preconstruction duties including layout, site facilities and coordination of deliveries.
- Attend all preconstruction activities
- Ensure proper field documentation is in the field.
- Assist Superintendent/General Superintendent with scheduling manpower and equipment.
- Monitor production and clearly and consistently report results and status daily to the Superintendent/General Superintendent/Project Manager.
- Coordinate subcontractors.
- Place will-calls for concrete. Take off materials.
- Release materials for delivery, confirm delivery against Purchase Order.
- Keep PA One Call current.
- Complete and maintain correct detailed daily reports, morning huddles, accident/incident/near miss reports.
Education, Skills and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of contracts and documents, specifically project plans and specifications, estimate bid including production and quality control.
- Strong understanding of equipment and manpower utilization for project sites.
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and convey this information to others.
- Maintain and exemplify a positive attitude and work atmosphere in all situations.
- Ability to provide supervision, operate, demonstrate proper operations and maintenance of construction equipment, such as skid steer, excavator, roller, laser, auto level and total station as well as power tools and basic hand tools.
- Team player – treating and encouraging team members with respect.
- Ability to understand and use basic computer programs including email and MS Office.
- Extensive knowledge of construction best practices, OSHA and ADA guidelines.
- Ability to acquire and maintain DOT physical for company vehicle use.

- Ability to secure supplies and files
- Digital dexterity and eye/hand coordination in the operation of equipment
- Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying of material – up to 80lbs.
- Ability to withstand varying weather typical in the region of work
