Our client is looking for a Site Manager.

BASIC SUMMARY:

To ensure the management of the Colony under your responsibility, according to the objectives and directions given by the Head of Production and the Executive Committee of the Company.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Animal Husbandry

• Ensuring the (Physical & Mental) wellbeing of all NHPs housed in the facilities under his/her responsibility.

• Planning/Application & follow up of health care protocol as per company’s standard

• Collaborate with other departments (Veterinary, Animal Welfare team) to maintain the company’s standards.

• Manage the feeding process, orders & allocations/distributions

• Cleanliness of unit/s and pens application of biosecurity practices including & inventories/stock of NHPs.

Team Management

• Plan, assign, organize and supervise works and duties of employees under his/her responsibility.

• Resolve workplace conflicts and Motivate team members his/her your responsibility.

• Assist the Human Resource department in recruiting, training, evaluating, promoting and terminating employment of personnel under your responsibility.

• Managing absenteeism, actively participating and reinforcing a positive work & animal welfare culture.

• Assist the Head of Production to implement, organize and monitor all procedures related to the production department.

• Assist the Head of Production to monitor and improve performance and set targets for the department.

Maintenance & resource management

• Work & collaboration with maintenance department to ensure the infrastructure is well maintained.

• Allocation of tools, equipment and other resources and ensuring that they are managed/used efficiently.

Quality + Health & safety

• Assist the Quality department in enforcing/applying and reviewing quality management system ISO 9001:2015 and abide by AAALAC regulations.

• Assist the HR department in enforcing/applying a health & safety culture and abiding to legal requirements

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelors’ degree in Management or an equivalent

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in workforce management or farming

Other:

Strong leadership skills and effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with operatives and stakeholders.

Knowledge of farm operations and resource management.

Good organizational skills, critical thinking and problem solving.

Ability to act as a mentor and show strong professionalism and strong work ethics.

Discipline and act as a role model. Live and breathe the company values and walk the talk.

WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS:

• Computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office), corresponding to the essential functions (SharePoint, OneDrive, PowerApps), including the ability to learn a validated system (internal software)

• Ability to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained by observing all safety procedures and working methods by making proper use of protective clothing and equipment, and by reading, understanding, and following all safety documents issued or notified of.

• May require working odd hours, weekend and on call for emergencies

• Physical demands including standing for extended periods and lifting and handling NHPs varying sizes.

• Abide by the confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement.
