About The Role

We are hiring a Social Media Editor to edit video for Clouted's own marketing channels and our clients. You'll turn raw footage into scroll-stopping short-form and long-form content — TikToks, Reels, Shorts, YouTube edits, and campaign pieces — with fast turnaround and a sharp eye for what performs. This is a hands-on execution role for someone fluent in internet culture who lives in the edit.

What You'll Own

1. Short-Form Editing

- Edit a high volume of viral-ready short-form content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) for Clouted marketing and client campaigns.

- Apply current trends, hooks, and formats optimized for retention and view velocity.

2. Long-Form & Campaign Content

- Produce YouTube edits, campaign pieces, and event/festival recaps to a high standard.

- Balance storytelling with platform-specific best practices.

3. Motion, Captions & Sound

- Add motion graphics, captions, and sound design that elevate content quality.

- Maintain visual and audio consistency with brand and campaign standards.

4. Asset & Workflow Management

- Keep project files, footage, and exports organized (e.g., the CLOUTED MEDIA Shade drive).

- Manage your pipeline to hit deadlines across multiple projects and time zones.

- Edits reflect current trends and drive strong retention and engagement.

- Turnaround is fast and the pipeline runs smoothly.

- Footage and project files stay organized and accessible.

You'll Thrive in This Role If You…

- Are an expert editor proficient with CapCut, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

- Have deep fluency in internet culture and short-form platform dynamics.

- Produce quality work fast without sacrificing craft.

- Are comfortable working with a distributed, cross-time-zone team.

- React to performance metrics (retention curves, watch time) and adjust your editing.

Requirements

- 2–4+ years of professional video editing experience.

- A strong reel/portfolio demonstrating short-form and long-form work.

- Proven track record editing content that performed on social platforms.

- Experience in music, gaming, or entertainment is a plus.
