Software Developer, NestJS, Spring, Claude Code

Role Summary

We’re looking for a Developer to join RAVL and work as part of a client delivery team building and evolving modern applications and services. You’ll bring strong software engineering fundamentals alongside practical experience using AI-assisted development tools.

This role is a strong fit for a developer who can contribute hands-on, work effectively within an established technology environment, and use modern development practices and tooling to deliver high-quality software.

Design, build, test, and maintain reliable, production-quality applications and services.

Contribute hands-on to development using NestJS and/or Spring.

Work effectively within event-driven architectures and integrate with platforms such as Kafka.

Use AI-assisted development tools as part of your day-to-day engineering workflow.

Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to engineering standards and practices.

Collaborate with engineers, architects, product partners, and other stakeholders to turn requirements into working software.

Identify technical issues and trade-offs early and contribute practical solutions.

Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.

The following are core requirements for this role:

• Hands-on software development experience with at least one of the following:
  • NestJS
  • Spring / Spring Boot
  • Practical experience using at least one of the following AI coding tools:
    • GitHub Copilot
    • Claude Code
    • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including application design, testing, debugging, version control, and maintainable coding practices.
    • Experience working collaboratively within a software engineering or product delivery team.
    • Ability to understand existing systems and codebases and become productive within them.
