The Position 

Join our mission to build cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions! As a key Software Engineer in the Deep CDR team at OPSWAT, you will develop high-performance security products using C++ and C# (.NET Core) for both Windows and Linux. You'll work at the binary and structural levels of files, designing scalable back-end engines that process millions of files daily. In this role, you'll also contribute to automation testing with Python, ensuring product reliability. Be part of an innovative team that values deep technical expertise in data structures, algorithms, OOP, and system design while tackling real-world cybersecurity challenges.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design, implement, and test OPSWAT MetaDefender products built on C++ and C# (.NET Core) for both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Build and develop an automation test framework using Python to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Interact with data, including files, documents, images, etc., at both binary and structural levels.
  • Enrich features for existing software modules (back-end engines) which process millions of files daily, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Depending on project needs, leverage and fine-tune AI/ML models for integration into our products.

What We Need from You

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, operating systems, and computer systems.
  • Object-Oriented mindset, with expertise in OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) and OOD (Object-Oriented Design).
  • Logical thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with, or strong interest in, AI developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and AI-assisted workflows such as agent skills and MCP.
  • Proficiency in English, particularly in reading and writing.

It Would be Nice if You Had

  • Programming experience with languages such as C++, C# or Python.
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning. Experience or exposure to AI/ML technologies, such as applying or fine-tuning models.
  • Experience with REST API and Web.
  • Familiarity with Docker, CD/CI pipelines, Git, TeamCity, Jira, and Confluence.
