About the Role
This is an opportunity to join a product-focused engineering team that plays a critical role in shaping how our customers access and experience their workplace. The team designs, builds, and evolves the digital capabilities that enable customers to seamlessly provision, manage, and use their physical and mobile credentials across their workplace and broader ecosystem.
We have two opportunities available within this team: one suited to an intermediate developer ready to deepen their technical capability, and one senior role for someone who can bring strong technical ownership, influence engineering direction, and support others to deliver high-quality outcomes.
As a Software Engineer in this team, you’ll work on systems that are foundational to identity, access, and trust. Your work will directly impact customer onboarding, day-to-day usability, and overall confidence in our solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and platform teams to deliver reliable, secure, and intuitive experiences that balance technical excellence with a strong understanding of customer needs.

Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software components and the integration of cloud services
Break down, refine, and estimate work within an agile product environment
Ensure quality and secure coding through best practices, testing, and peer reviews
Optimise system performance, reliability, and scalability
Collaborate with the squad and wider teams in an agile environment
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and development trends to continuously improve team capability
For the senior role, provide technical guidance, support decision-making, and help mentor others within the team
You’ll bring
A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
Commercial software development experience, ideally 3+ years for intermediate applicants and stronger depth of experience for senior applicants
Proficiency in C#
Experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar
Experience in RESTful API development
Experience with CI/CD using Azure Pipelines or GitHub Workflows
Experience working in agile, product-focused teams
For the senior role, the ability to influence technical outcomes, guide engineering practices, and support others through coaching or mentoring
Experience with C++ and/or mobile development is desirable
Experience with access control systems, including traditional card-based and emerging digital/mobile credential technologies and encoding would be advantageous
