Software Engineer - Test Automation, POWER

What You Will Do

• Develop & Maintain Test Packages: Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining automated test packages in ECU-TEST for smoke testing and ECU flashing procedures.

• Support Standard Generators: Help build and maintain standard test generators that streamline the creation of test cases for the wider engineering team.

• Execute Mapping Checks: Implement automated routines to verify signal mapping and configurations across different ECU software builds.

• Troubleshoot & Debug: Analyze test execution logs, identify the root causes of failed tests, and collaborate with senior engineers to fix automation scripts.

• Continuous Integration: Work with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) to ensure test packages run smoothly in our automated build and release pipelines.

• Learn & Grow: Actively learn automotive communication protocols and advanced ECU-TEST functionalities under the guidance of senior automation experts.

What We Are Looking For (Required Qualifications)

• 1-2 years of experience in Testing

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, communication Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

• Programming Skills: Solid foundational knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python is highly preferred, as it integrates heavily with automotive testing).

• Basic Knowledge for software testing methodologies (ISTQB foundation is a plus).

• Basic understanding of automotive bus systems and protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, XCP/CCP).

• Good Knowledge about TraceTronic ECU-TEST, Vector tools (CANoe/CANalyzer), or HIL/SIL environments.

• Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD concepts.

• Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and a meticulous approach to troubleshooting logic and configuration errors.

• Team Player: Excellent communication skills and a willingness to ask questions, learn rapidly, and collaborate in a technical team environment
