Summary/Objective
The Solutions Resource Supervisor is responsible for managing pooled technical resources within the Solutions organization. This role focuses on aligning technician skills and capacity with project demand, ensuring efficient utilization, balanced workloads, and consistent delivery quality across all Solutions initiatives. The Resource Manager partners closely with Project Managers, Program Management, and Technical Leads to ensure projects are staffed with the right expertise at the right time.
This role replaces traditional line supervision by emphasizing capacity management, performance development, and delivery enablement rather than day-to-day task execution.
Compensation: $60,000-$75,000
Responsibilities
Essential Functions

- Own and manage a resource pool of technicians, aligned by skill sets and aptitudes rather than by individual Project Managers
- Forecast resource demand in collaboration with PMs and the Program Manager
- Assign technicians to projects based on skill alignment, availability, and business priority
- Balance workloads to prevent burnout, underutilization, or skill stagnation
- Monitor delivery health and intervene when resource or capacity risks emerge
- Conduct performance management activities, including goal setting, coaching, and annual reviews
- Partner with Technical Leads to identify skill gaps and training needs
- Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives
- Serve as the escalation point for resource conflicts and staffing challenges

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Travel

Qualifications
Preferred Education and Experience
- 5+ years in IT delivery, operations management, or resource management
- Strong understanding of project-based delivery models (PMO or professional services preferred)
- Experience managing technical staff in a regulated or high-availability environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to balance competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with capacity planning, utilization tracking, and workforce forecasting tools
