Under the supervision of the Director, Supply Chain, the Sourcing Specialist: processes service and parts POs for the field service team, supply chain’s primary customer. Ensures the best price, quality, service, and delivery terms to meet customers’ needs; interacts daily with field staff and suppliers, and negotiates with suppliers. Addresses inquiries from the field team to ensure their questions and concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Provides input regarding strategic opportunities to help reduce costs, improve service, and drive overall productivity; and conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective action. Ultimately, this role is critical to ensure timely processing of POs, timely communication of order status and issue resolution to the field, and management of administrative tasks to ensure efficient supply chain operations in support of procurement processes
•Creates parts purchase orders daily to meet customer requests dates; requires verbal and written communication with suppliers, and often requires communication and follow up with field staff
•Creates purchase orders for purchased services; ensures compliance with regional and national vendor agreements
•Provides timely follow up for issue resolution for internal and external customers
•Identifies opportunities to reduce costs associated with procuring and distributing parts
•Identifies alternative sources of supply that meet price, quality, and service expectations
•Resolves help desk tickets submitted through Service Now system
•Monitors the general phone queue and acts as first call resolution resource
•Maintains vendor database
•Manages relationships with assigned vendors; negotiates price and terms with suppliers
•Assists accounts payable team with issue resolution to ensure timely shipment of orders from suppliers
•Other duties as assigned, to include possible project work
•Operates in an ethical manner and in compliance with ARAMARK’s Business Conduct Policy
