The Rye has been serving the people of SE15 under many guises for more years than you’ve had hot dinners, however our story began more recently. After a big refurbishment and extension, The Rye re-opened in June 2012.

We are looking for a Sous Chef who is hands on, creative, and passionate about showcasing local and seasonal fresh food.

This truly is a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Chef to join a well-established company that is passionate about delivering incredible food and exceptional service.

Who are we, anyway?
We’re Metropolitan Pub Company (or Metro Pub Co for short). We’re big believers in local pubs being just that, with their own character and charm. We’ve got 63 pubs in and around London: Neighbourhood locals, city pubs and foodie ones. They’re all different – run by their managers, not a boardroom – and we like it that way.
