Special Effects Make-up Artist/Wardrobe Specialist

Position Summary

This is a hands-on job in an energizing and collaborative environment.STOPS will provide on the job training, but a strong candidate will come armed with confident skills and an understanding of makeup techniques and beauty trends – as well as machine and hand sewing.Individual should have an eye for organization, be inquisitive, open to feedback, and communicative as part of a team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

·Learn to create and apply special effects make-up wounds for tactical training evolutions

·Casting, molding, airbrushing, sculpting, and painting amputee sleeves, and prosthetic injuries

·Design and create foam latex and silicone wounds and body parts

·Responsible for organizing products, tools, and equipment for field operations

• Pulling, laundering, mending, organizing, and/or constructing garments for tactical training

• Assisting in preparing and tracking wardrobe assigned to projects

• Participating in maintaining accurate records of departmental activities, including inventory
