About this role

A leading Government Healthcare Facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant – Oral Medicine to join its specialized dental team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of complex oral and maxillofacial conditions, working closely with dental and medical specialists to deliver patient-centered care and accurate clinical diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of oral mucosal, salivary gland, and oral medicine conditions.
  • Evaluate patients presenting with complex oral lesions, chronic oral pain, ulcerative conditions, and potentially malignant disorders.
  • Perform comprehensive clinical examinations and develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans.
  • Interpret relevant clinical investigations, imaging, and laboratory findings.
  • Coordinate biopsies and other diagnostic procedures when clinically indicated.
  • Manage patients with medically related oral conditions and provide appropriate referrals where required.
  • Work collaboratively with oral and maxillofacial surgeons, dermatologists, oncologists, ENT specialists, and other medical and dental teams.
  • Provide appropriate follow-up and long-term management for chronic oral conditions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with clinical governance and patient-safety standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, teaching, and continuing professional development.

Requirements

  • Recognized Dental Degree (BDS/DDS/DMD or equivalent).
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Oral Medicine.
  • Relevant Specialist or Consultant-level clinical experience.
  • Candidates with UK CCT, Western qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or German Board are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong experience in the diagnosis and management of complex oral medicine conditions.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Previous experience in a tertiary, teaching, or government healthcare facility is advantageous.
