We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Female Gastroenterologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care for patients with gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders. The ideal candidate will deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, evaluate, and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary diseases.
• Assess and treat conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastrointestinal bleeding, liver diseases, viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease, pancreatitis, and gastrointestinal infections.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy.
• Interpret laboratory investigations, pathology reports, imaging studies, and endoscopic findings to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide long-term follow-up for patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders.
• Counsel patients on disease prevention, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and gastrointestinal health.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, hepatologists, dietitians, pathologists, and other specialists.
• Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient gastroenterology services.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
• Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi regulations, hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and international clinical guidelines.
• Promote patient safety, ethical medical practice, and exceptional patient care.

Requirements

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• MD, DNB, DM, Arab Board, or an equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi License or DOH Eligibility Letter as a Specialist Gastroenterologist.
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization clinical experience in Gastroenterology is preferred.
• Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy; experience with advanced endoscopic procedures is an advantage.
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling abilities.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Female candidates are preferred in accordance with patient population needs and service requirements.
