Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. This role is crucial in providing high-quality care and support to adults with neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, and communication disorders in adults with neurological conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience, with significant experience in adult neuro rehabilitation.
- Skills: Excellent communication, assessment, and therapeutic skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of neurological conditions and their impact on communication and swallowing.
