Responsibilities

  • Acts as department liaison for Finance, Legal and other departments
  • Involved in general and administrative expense forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly actual general and administrative expenses variance analysis and explanations
  • Coordinate and prepare accrual information for benefits, Legal and HR to be booked as required
  • Review and analysis of corporate cost allocations monthly.
  • Coordinate and prepare information for auditors.
  • Assist with coordination and preparation of annual budgeted general and administrative expenses including reporting, analysis.
  • Coordination and preparation of monthly actual and annual budget schedules and analysis for headcount, insurance, benefits, and general and administrative expenses.
  • Monthly accounting close and verification of results for general and administrative expenses.
  • Gather accurate and timely projected financial information from Finance Department and work closely with other departments, such as Legal and HR, to provide and receive timely information to complete duties.
  • Work on special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or concentration in Finance required with 4-6 years’ experience in accounting (2 of which were in a supervisory role)
  • CPA, CMA and/or MBA preferred (strong understanding Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Strong working knowledge Microsoft Office; proficient in Excel, Access, and Word
  • Knowledge of Infinium, Oracle, Hyperion and/or Business Objects a plus
  • Excellent organizational, managerial, interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, ability to work in a team-based, continuous improvement environment
  • Business Acumen
  • This position will require extensive interaction with Sales and Marketing
  • Report and review the correctness, relevance and timeliness of the financial and other information that is provided for management
