Sr. Associate, Logistics & Freight Management

Key Responsibilities

Transportation & Freight Management

• Coordinate domestic and international freight movements across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
• Manage freight bookings and shipment execution with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics providers.
• Support air, ocean, and land transportation activities to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively address transportation issues and disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and customs requirements.
• Work with logistics partners to improve service levels, transit performance, and transportation efficiency.

Logistics Analytics & Reporting

• Analyze transportation performance, freight costs, and operational trends.
• Develop and maintain logistics reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.
• Monitor freight spend and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Provide data-driven insights to support operational decision-making.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through fact-based analysis.

KPI & Exception Management

• Track and report key logistics and transportation performance indicators.
• Monitor on-time delivery, freight costs, carrier performance, and service-level compliance.
• Investigate shipment delays, service failures, and operational exceptions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Escalate critical issues and coordinate timely resolution with stakeholders.

Vendor & Carrier Management

• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and transportation service providers.
• Review vendor performance against agreed KPIs and service levels.
• Collaborate with logistics partners to improve operational performance.
• Support freight optimization and cost improvement initiatives.

SAP & Systems Utilization

• Utilize SAP and related systems to support logistics operations and reporting.
• Maintain shipment data and logistics records.
• Support reporting automation and system-driven process improvements.
• Participate in transportation and logistics digitalization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight management, or supply chain operations.
• Experience managing freight forwarders, carriers, or logistics service providers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in reporting and root cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of international transportation and cross-border logistics.
• Experience tracking logistics KPIs and performance metrics.
• Hands-on experience with SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience in regional ASEAN logistics operations.
• Exposure to Power BI or dashboard development tools.
• Knowledge of transportation visibility platforms or logistics control tower environments.
• Experience supporting freight optimization and transportation improvement projects.
