Role Overview and Responsibilities

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Design Innovative Power Solutions That Matter

Are you passionate about turning complex engineering challenges into real-world products? Join TT Electronics as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer and play a key role in developing advanced power conversion products used in demanding industrial, aerospace, defense, and high-reliability applications.

In this role, you'll lead mechanical design efforts from concept through production, working alongside electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, quality professionals, and customers to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective solutions

What You'll Do

• Lead the mechanical design and development of power conversion products and assemblies.
• Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Perform thermal, structural, vibration, and tolerance analyses.
• Support product development activities including prototyping, testing, and qualification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.
• Participate in customer technical discussions and design reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement and product optimization initiatives.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute technical leadership across projects.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Experience developing products from concept through production.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and engineering documentation.
• Strong knowledge of thermal, structural, and manufacturability design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience in power electronics, aerospace, defense, industrial, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
• Must meet ITAR requirements.
