Job Title: Sr. SQL Server DBA

Location:Atlanta, GA

Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description:-

·Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.

·Design and implement database scheme and process flow; Analyse Client data to determine necessary data constraints.

·Troubleshoot performance issues and determine the most effective way to increase performance including server configuration changes, index/query changes, statistic updates or partitioning.

·Ensure proper backup and recovery processes are in place.

·Maintain security and integrity controls.

·Build robust ETL solutions to gather data from multiple systems and cleanse and de-dupe the data.

·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mgmt. Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline; 5-8 years technical expertise in database development and administration.

·Additionally, although not required, experience/familiarity in the following is a plus: .NET/C# language and Oracle dbms.

·Administration setup and optimization; SQL Server query performance optimization, file manipulation, exception handling; 5-8 years of experience in systems analysis, applications development and systems architecture;

Management Skills:

·A minimum 5+ years of database administration and T-SQL experience - performance tuning, DTS/SSIS, stored procedures, triggers, views.

·Microsoft SQL Server dbms expertise required, familiarity with or additional skill set including Oracle dbms is a significant benefit.

·Job's primary skill is database administration, but note that SQL Server programming is a highly desirable secondary skill or prior work experience.
