A Day in the Life
Plan and direct day-to-day accounting activities while ensuring compliance with GAAP, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, monitor daily cash balances, and support monthly close activitiesAssist with audits, government contract reporting, and budget preparation, while maintaining accurate records for employees, vendors, and fixed assetsSupport multiple entities across the organization, handling accounting activities tailored to each business unitMentor accounting staff and support leadership with financial insights and projections
Must Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance (or equivalent relevant experience)Minimum of 3 years of related professional accounting experienceStrong working knowledge of GAAPExperience with payroll processing systemsProficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience performing full-charge bookkeeping, including: Accounts payable and receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries and account reconciliations, and payroll processing and timecard reviewAbility to prepare and support audit schedulesExperience maintaining accounting records, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules
