About this role

📌 About the Role

Jus Mundi is looking for a Staff Engineer to play a critical role in shaping and sustaining a resilient, secure, and scalable platform that acts as a force multiplier for our entire engineering organization.

Engineering Product Design team North Star is “Zero-friction delivery: We deliver business value at speed and securely by mastering simple, standardized engineering practices.”. You will be the technical guardian of this mission, doing whatever it takes, from hands-on implementation to cross-team orchestration to make it happen, grounding every technical decision in product impact and a deep understanding of our business context (users, workflows, and value drivers).

This role balances strategic technical leadership with hands-on engineering work. You'll roll up your sleeves for critical stack upgrades (PHP, Symfony, third party libraries, etc.) as much as you'll architect large-scale system transitions.

This is a senior individual contributor role with broad influence, designed for an engineer who drives impact through architecture, standards, mentorship, and product-oriented technical leadership rather than people management.

🙌 The Team

You will work across multiple product and platform teams within Jus Mundi's Engineering organization, collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, AI, and Security stakeholders from different squads to define shared foundations and enable teams to move faster and safer.

Our engineering culture values high ownership, pragmatism, collaboration, and technical excellence.

  • Drive platform-wide initiatives that improve developer productivity, system reliability, and end-user experience

⚙️ Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Excellent capacity to convince, guide, and drive technical decisions
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English (fluent required)
  • Strong product mindset with ability to understand business context and user needs
  • Ability to evolve in a fast changing environment, reevaluating priorities and choosing the right impact at the right time under multi lever requirements
