Stamping Technician 1

Responsibilities

Duties:

• Sets up and operates assigned equipment up to 110 ton press.
• Capable of running multiple pieces of equipment, stand alone or cellular fashion.
• Trained and certified on all presses and complex tooling above 110 ton press or operate a cell of machines that includes secondary processes.
• Perform minor in-die tool component changes.
• Rotate to various assigned machines as required.
• Problem solves and makes corrective adjustments during set-up and operation of assigned equipment. Aides others in problem solving.
• Responsible for adhering to best safety practices in performing the job
• Responsible for maintaining all quality requirements and productivity standards.
• Responsible for maintaining 5S throughout the department.
• Trains and provides work direction to others as required.
• Work with management, engineering, and quality technicians on process improvement.
• Completes daily routine maintenance as required.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills requirements:

• Inspection tools and equipment
• Basic reading, writing, math, organizational, and computer skills
• Must pass Mechanical aptitude test
• Must hold or pass STRATTEC forklift operator driver’s license
