Our unique star gazing tours focus on ensuring our guests feel like they are the only people in the universe experiencing the amazing night sky. Our guides use a mixture of state-of-the-art telescopes, lasers and virtual reality to enhance the guest experience followed by a relaxing soak in our hot pools.

We are looking for an amazing Stargazing Tour Guide to join our team located in Lake Tekapo, Canterbury in New Zealand. This is a permanent full-time role, with minimum 30 hours per week.

We are looking for a keen learner with a passion for astronomy who can remain focused and cares about keeping people safe and entertained. This person would join our existing team of Stargazing Guides entertaining customers during the night.

• $28.00 per hour starting rate with guaranteed 30 hours

We are looking for someone with:

• At least 2-year work experience in hospitality, preferably in tour guiding but suitable candidate can be considered with other relevant experience; Or a tertiary qualification in hospitality, culture communication, or similar may substitute the experience for the right candidate.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Must be comfortable in addressing groups (up to approx. 40 guests).

• Photography knowledge in particualr for atrophotography and related technologies
• Natural entertainer with great people skills and commitment to ensuring a unique and unforgettable guest experience.
• A high level of fluency in English and ideally a second language
