Location: Alpro - Kettering, NorthamptonshireSalary: Starting salary of £38918.33, rising to £40329.87 once fully trained, plus shift allowance and an excellent range of benefits including pension, private healthcare and employee discounts.

We're currently looking for a Steriliser Operator to join our Manufacturing team at our Kettering site. This is a key operational role responsible for overseeing the sterilisation process, ensuring product quality and food safety standards are maintained whilst supporting the efficient running of the production process.

As a Steriliser Operator, you'll play an important role in controlling product flow to the filling lines, managing allergen and non-allergen changeovers, monitoring production processes and ensuring accurate production records are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee the sterilisation process safely and effectively.
• Ensure the timely supply of formulated product to filling machines.
• Control formulation and product changeovers between allergen and non-allergen products.
• Monitor batches in line with production schedules and planning requirements.
• Maintain food safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Record production data and process information accurately.
• Monitor equipment performance and escalate issues where required.
• Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to achieve business objectives.

About You

About You

We're looking for a proactive and reliable individual who can work independently while remaining a strong team player in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will have excellent communication skills, a strong focus on safety and quality, and the ability to solve problems effectively and make sound decisions.

Essential Skills & Experience

• GCSEs (or equivalent).
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of food hygiene and allergen management.
• Ability to work on your own initiative.
• Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• FLT Licence.
• HACCP training.
• COSHH training.
• Knowledge of CIP (Clean In Place) processes.
• Experience operating process or production equipment.
