Salary:Circa£33,000,depending on skills and experience

We'relooking for aStorage Point Technicianto support the inspection,operationand optimisation of our water storage assets, including reservoirs, watertowersand other storage facilities. Using a combination of surveying techniques, innovative inspectiontechnologiesand remotely operated vehicle (ROV) equipment,you'llhelp ensure our assets continue to deliver safe, high-quality drinking water to customers across the region.

Working closely with operational teams, engineers, water quality specialists,contractorsand key stakeholders,you'llcontribute to a programme of internal and external inspections, water quality investigations and asset improvement initiatives that support the long-term performance of our water network.

Whatyou'llbe doing

• Completing routine external inspections of reservoirs, watertowersand other storage assets in line with the annual inspection programme.

• Carrying out ROV internal inspections and supporting the collection of inspection and survey data.

• Using innovative surveying and inspection equipment to gather data on water-retaining structures and asset condition.

• Supporting water quality investigations and providing inspection data to operational and water quality teams.

• Identifyingdefects, raising maintenancerequirementsand escalating issues through theappropriate channels.

• Assistingoperational teams with planned storage point outages and optimisation activities while minimising customer impact.

• Ensuring all inspection records, risk assessments and site documentation are accurately completed andmaintained.

• Supporting safety audits, contractor management activities and compliance with health and safety procedures.

• Contributing to optimisation projects and initiatives that improve asset performance,reliabilityand operational efficiency.

• Working collaboratively with operational teams, engineers,contractorsand delivery partners to deliver the storage point programme.

Whatyou'llbring

Essential

• NVQ Level 2 qualification (minimumrequirement).

• Good knowledge of operational activities and maintenance practices.

• Understanding of water treatment and associated operational processes.

• Strong IT skills and confidence using digital systems and inspection technologies.

• Excellent communication and teamworking skills.

• A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to make informed decisions and resolve issues within your area of responsibility.

• Customer-focused with a commitment to doing the right thing for customers and colleagues.

• Commitment to health,safetyand environmental standards.

• Flexibility to support occasional out-of-hours activities whenrequired.

Desirable

• Experience within the water industry,utilitiesor a similar operational environment.

• Understanding of DWI regulations relating to materials and disinfection of potable water.

• Experience of inspection, surveying, assetmonitoringor ROV technology.
