In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.

To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, GMIN Ventures Guyana Inc. is seeking expressions of interest for the position of:

Storekeeper

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing materials, tools, and equipment at the carpenter workshop. This includes receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining
accurate inventory records to ensure smooth site operations and prevent shortages or losses

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials.

• Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of essential construction materials and tools.

• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.

• Follow proper storage methods to prevent damage or loss.

• Receive materials, tools, and equipment delivered to site.

• Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.

• Report any damage, missing, or incorrect items.

• Issue materials and tools to workers or departments as per authorized requests.

• Ensure proper documentation for all issued items.

• Track usage and return of tools and equipment.

• Organize materials in a safe and accessible manner.

• Ensure proper labeling and categorization of items.

• Maintain cleanliness and order in the storage area.

• Maintain stock registers and digital inventory systems.

• Prepare daily/weekly inventory reports.

• Coordinate with carpentry supervisor and Material Coordinator for replenishment needs.

• Follow site safety procedures in handling materials.

• Ensure hazardous materials are stored according to safety guidelines.

• Reduce waste and prevent theft or misuse of stock.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

• 5 CSEC Subjects (1-3) must include Mathematics and English A or Equivalent
• Valid License
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Storekeeping/ Inventory Control.

• Familiarity with ERPs and MS Excel.
• Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Conditions

• Position based at the OKO Project site - Fly-in/Fly-out
• Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days off
• Transportation, accommodation, and meals are provided on site
