The Role

We are looking for a Stores Team Leader to supervise the day-to-day stores operation, ensuring materials and components are accurately received, stored, controlled and supplied to support motorcycle production.

You will lead the Stores team, manage workloads and operational performance, and work closely with Production, Planning and Supply Chain to ensure material availability and efficient warehouse operations.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support the Stores and Warehouse team

• Allocate daily workloads and manage team performance

• Oversee goods-in, stock control, picking, kitting and production line supply

• Maintain accurate inventory records and ERP/MRP transactions

• Ensure stock is stored safely and efficiently, including FIFO processes where applicable

• Monitor KPIs including stock accuracy, picking accuracy, productivity and on-time material delivery

• Identify and resolve stock discrepancies and operational issues

• Support Lean, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality and housekeeping standards

• Work closely with Production, Planning, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to support production requirements

Personal Specification

• Previous supervisory or Team Leader experience within a stores, warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of inventory control and stock management

• Experience using ERP/MRP systems

• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills

• Experience managing operational KPIs and team performance

• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• ILM Level 3 Leadership & Management qualification, or willingness to work towards one

Desirable: Automotive/manufacturing experience, FLT licence and knowledge of Lean/5S methodologies
