What you'll do

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead category development and sourcing execution across our Technology spend portfolio. In this role, you will take ownership of category strategy, lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and drive measurable cost savings and risk mitigation. You will be accountable for translating business requirements into effective procurement strategies and executing complex negotiations with technology vendors.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director,Strategic Sourcing.

Responsibility

  • Develop and execute category management plans for Technology spend (SaaS, software licenses, cloud services, IT infrastructure) with clear strategies to achieve cost savings, risk mitigation, and performance targets
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing events (RFP, RFI, RFQ) using modern procurement orchestration platforms (ZipHQ, Levelpath) to ensure structured, repeatable, and auditable processes
  • Negotiate complex contracts for software subscriptions, cloud services, and technology services; leverage Al to perform rapid contract analysis and surface key terms, while applying commercial judgment to drive favorable outcomes
  • Establish cross-functional stakeholder teams; define business requirements collaboratively with Finance, IT, Security, and department heads to align procurement strategy with operational needs
  • Monitor supplier performance, conduct quarterly business reviews with strategic vendors, and address service delivery issues proactively
  • Develop analytical reports and dashboards tracking spend, savings achieved, contract renewals, and KPIs; use Al tools to accelerate data analysis and identify patterns, while validating insights independently
  • Collaborate with Legal, Information Security, and Third Party Governance to navigate contract review cycles and secure favorable risk allocation terms
  • Apply a systems and process mindset to category management: design efficient intake workflows, identify bottlenecks in the source-to-pay lifecycle, and recommend operational improvements

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • 8+ years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Category Management, with significant focus on Technology or SaaS sourcing
  • Experience negotiating technology subscription renewals and new software/cloud service agreements
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience with eSourcing tools, spend analytics platforms, Excel, and data visualization fundamentals
  • Experience negotiating and managing complex technology and services agreements (MSAS, SOWs, SaaS agreements)
  • Experience with category management plan development and execution, and delivering year-over-year savings
  • Experience using Al tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to enhance analysis and expedite contract review-with discernment in evaluating Al output and not treating it as authoritative
  • Experience mapping complex workflows, optimizing intake processes, and identifying systemic improvements in source-to-pay operations
  • Experience with stakeholder management and leading complex cross-functional initiatives

Preferred

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • MBA or advanced degree in business or supply chain management
  • Procurement professional certification (CPSM, CIPS, CSP)
  • Hands-on experience with modern procurement intake and orchestration platforms (ZipHQ, Levelpath, Jaggr, Coupa)
  • Experience with enterprise P2P systems (Oracle, Workday Scout, Coupa)
  • Familiarity with spend analytics, Tableau, Power Bl, or advanced Excel modeling
  • Experience leading strategic vendor relationships, conducting QBRs, and managing supplier performance scorecards

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

Washington DC: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

Ohio: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

Canada: CAD $X/hour - CAD $X/hour or CAD $X - CAD $X base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
