Structural Engineer Intern - Summer 2027

Excellent internship opportunity with a nationally recognized forensic structural consulting firm based in our Chicago area office. We are looking for a motivated, committed, and enthusiastic candidate interested in working with experienced structural engineers to solve challenging problems.

Responsibilities

• Forensic investigation and analysis
• Laboratory and field testing
• Analysis of structural components and systems
• Repair design and detail development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or near completion) in Civil Engineering / Structures
• Intend to pursue master's degree in Civil Engineering / Structures
• Excellent writing, communication, and leadership skills
• Strong analytical ability
• Ability to travel and perform field work including working at heights
• Interest in pursuing profession in forensic engineering
• This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
