Student Surveyor

Student Surveyors work closely with the project Quantity Surveying Team and the wider project team, assisting with the day-to-day commercial management and running of the project they are assigned to. This role provides valuable practical experience while developing the knowledge and skills required to progress within the Quantity Surveying profession.

Duties:

• Assisting the Quantity Surveying Team with the day-to-day commercial management of the project.

• Carrying out live measurement of building works using software such as Bluebeam, CostX or Cubit.

• Gaining experience in procurement systems and processes, including compiling tender packs, issuing tenders and comparing quotations.

• Maintaining and updating various project reporting trackers, including reinforcement, brickwork and subcontractor documentation.

• Engaging with site teams regarding procurement documentation, site records and commercial information.

• Assisting with and developing an understanding of the valuation process.

• Supporting the Quantity Surveying Team with general commercial and administrative duties as required.

• Attending regular training and learning programmes to support ongoing professional and personal development.

Requirements

Candidates should be studying towards an appropriate professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
