Substitute Elementary Teacher

We are seeking a dependable and caring substitute elementary teacher to support students in grades K–6. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with school-aged children and be committed to maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Daily Pay Rate:
$240 per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher
• Deliver instruction and assist students with classroom assignments
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and well-managed classroom
• Follow school policies, procedures, and daily schedules
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators
• Provide notes for the regular teacher regarding the day’s activities, student progress, and any classroom concerns

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Minnesota Department of Education substitute teaching license or be willing and eligible to obtain one
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Comfortable working with elementary students in grades K–6
• Previous teaching, classroom, or child-care experience is preferred
• Knowledge of the Ojibwe language is considered an asset
