Substitute Teacher

Part-time on an as-needed basis during the school year.

Status: Non-Exempt, At-Will

Reports To: Office Manager

Overview of Position:

Gateway School is seeking individuals interested in substitute teaching in all areas, including K-5 core classrooms and Middle School math, science, language arts, cultural studies and Spanish. Successful candidates will have a good sense of humor and outstanding personal integrity.

Duties:

● Substitutes are responsible for teaching specific grades or subjects for the day of their hire. Lesson plans will be provided.

● Other duties may include playground supervision or dismissal duty.

Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree

● Classroom teaching experience at the elementary or secondary level

● Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and parents

● Personal qualities of being flexible, energetic, creative, and collaborative.
