The Opportunity

Cochlear has opportunities for a full-time Supervisor - Maintenance & Calibration based in our Sydney, Macquarie or Lane Cove office. In this role, the successful Supervisor will coordinate and lead a team of technicians, ensuring that maintenance and calibration tasks are performed timely and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate team day-to-day activities to ensure deliverables are met as per agreed KPIs.
• Set team KPIs in collaboration with the Manager.
• Implement solutions to improve equipment availability.
• Monitor and provide feedback on team performance.
• Ensure adherence to Cochlear QMS and Hear Behaviour standards.
• Solve difficult problems and produce solutions outside standard procedures.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships and manage communication updates.

Essential

• Demonstrate technical competency with a wide range of equipment.
• Possess a thorough understanding of technical documents and drawings.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Utilise effective coaching skills to develop team members.
• Make informed and effective decisions in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.

Ideal:

• Trade qualification or tertiary degree in engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years working in a team supporting a regulated manufacturing environment.
