Supply Chain Manager

About the role

To lead and manage all stages of the supply chain at the production plant in Romania, ensuring the optimal flow of materials and products from procurement through to final delivery. The aim is to guarantee stock availability, the efficiency and profitability of processes, and compliance with service standards for both suppliers and internal and external customers.

Responsabilities:

1. Planning and Meeting Deadlines

• Lead the comprehensive planning of the plant’s supply chain.

• Monitor adherence to deadlines at all stages of the process.

• Oversee the actions required to fulfill orders, setting priorities and ensuring production targets are met.

2. Supplier Management (Internal and External)

• Optimise purchasing and storage criteria for raw materials and available supplies to meet production targets.

• Monitor and assess external suppliers’ performance (lead times, quality and service).

• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the continuity of the flow of materials.

• Lead the resolution of supply issues, in coordination with Planning and Production.

3. Internal Logistics and Warehousing

• Optimise the processes for receiving, storing and moving goods within the plant.

• Take responsibility for materials management and parts batching processes, ensuring the smooth running of processes and stock rotation.

• Ensure the accuracy of stock levels, minimising shortages and surpluses.

• Implement improvements to the warehouse layout to maximise operational efficiency.

4. Dispatch and Internal Customer Service

• Manage customer supply requests, ensuring they are fulfilled on time and in the correct manner.

• Coordinate priorities with internal departments to ensure customer objectives are met.

5. Leadership and Continuous Improvement

• Lead and develop the team of staff under your responsibility.

• Monitor the area’s key KPIs (inventory turnover, service level, shortages, OTIF).

• Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions using Lean methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Technical Engineering degree, preferably specialising in industrial organisation and/or equivalent experience.

• A Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics would be an advantage.

• 3–5 years in similar roles in logistics management, supply chain or procurement.

• Experience in the comprehensive management of the supply area: planning, procurement and materials logistics Skills

• Experience with ERP systems (BAAN, SAP), WMS, Olanet or equivalent tools would be an advantage. Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Power BI for analysis and reporting.

• High level of English and other languages will be an advantage, particularly Spanish.
