Swim and Fitness Center Supervisor

Overview

The SFC Supervisor oversees fitness, pool, and locker room area and staff. Oversee daily operations and programming of the fitness center and all its amenities, including facility housekeeping and maintenance. Develop and supervise fitness and aquatic programs; including Lifeguard training) and promote these programs to the membership and hotel guests.

Salary: $21.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive physical appearance of the pool, locker room, Fitness Center facility, equipment and surrounding areas Responsibility
• Constantly observing facility and equipment to ensure safe, appropriate and intended use
• Understand and implement use of facility equipment/machinery with safety as a priority
• Prepares and maintains appropriate service and cleaning reports and daily log of events Stock locker room and fitness center stations with the appropriate supplies
• Assist in the supervision and task assignment of the pool and fitness center staff
• Oversee development and execution of all labor and expenses
• Coordinate the Swim and Fitness Center’s linen/terry program, including storage, inventory control, production, delivery, and facility flow of clean and dirt
• Attends weekly, monthly or quarterly team meetings
• Acts as a liaison between Club members and Resort providing support as needed
• Maintaining accurate records of attendance, registration, waiver forms, and cashiering that satisfies administrative and accounting needs and used for statistical analysis and forecast/budget process
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years full-time supervisory experience in similar setting, preferably including membership sales
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required
• Lifeguard training certification thru the Red Cross (or similar certified program)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Energetic self-starter with strong work ethic
• Thorough knowledge of fitness center equipment and the necessary maintenance and care needs
• Industry specific certifications a plus
• Ability to stand for entire shift
• Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces and reach on a continuous basis
• Must have the physical ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 40 lb. on a frequent basis
• Work inside or outside in a variety of weather conditions
• Available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
