Scope:

D-Fend Solutions is a successful, fast-growing, startup located in Ra’anana. We are looking for an experienced system engineer to participate and lead the development of a cellular-based drone detection and mitigation system as part of the company products.

The system engineer position requires the combination of several elements:

• Lead features and platforms from ideas to releases.
• System architecture & design - Architect robust, distributed network monitoring systems capable of handling massive scale, high throughput, and the continuous ingestion of telecommunications data.
• Communicate directly with Tier-1 telecommunications carriers to design, deploy, and integrate scalable monitoring solutions seamlessly into their live, complex operational environments.
• Direct and mentor a research and development group (back-end, front-end, researchers, dev-ops).
• Oversee end-to-end project execution, planning and managing resources.
• Core network expertise - Deep understanding of LTE and 5G Core network topologies
• Analyze and define complex system behaviors, state machines, algorithms, and event-response logic
• Perform independent, hands-on debugging and optimization for system problem-solving.
• Gain a deep understanding of the system to guide and support development, testing and validation teams.

B.Sc/M.Sc degree in Computer Science or similar background from a recognized university.
