Mō tēnei tūranga | About the role

The Systems Analyst plays an important role in supporting the National Cervical Screening Programme by ensuring the National Cervical Screening Programme Register (NCSP-R) remains accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose. Working at the intersection of data, systems, and quality, you'll use analysis and reporting to identify trends, investigate issues, and support informed decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with complex information, and driving continuous improvements that contribute to better health outcomes for communities across Aotearoa. This role is based in our Wellington CBD office.

Ngā haepapa matua | Key responsibilities

• Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of information held within the National Cervical Screening Programme Register (NCSP-R).
• Conduct data validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and assurance activities to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Investigate system issues, data discrepancies, and anomalies, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Produce regular and ad hoc reports, analysis, and insights to support operational, clinical, and programme decision-making.
• Monitor system performance, exception reports, and work queues to proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide specialist advice on register processes, system functionality, and data integrity.

Qualifications

You're a detail-oriented and analytical professional who enjoys working with data, systems, and technology to solve complex problems. You have experience managing data within systems, investigating issues, and turning insights into practical improvements. Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, you're a clear communicator with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement. You'll bring sound judgement, technical confidence, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and cultural safety. Most importantly, you'll have a genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, health equity, and supporting positive outcomes for the diverse communities we serve across Aotearoa.

Ōu wheako ōu mātauranga hoki | Qualifications and Experience

• Proficiency in the usage of the Microsoft office products (Outlook, Excel and Word).
• Experience with managing data within a data collection system, including writing queries, analysing data sets, and checking data integrity.
• Experience managing and working IT system error queues.
• Experience with Salesforce is highly desirable

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
• Highly organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate documentation and work outputs.
• Able to work independently, use initiative, and manage competing priorities while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
